I wanted this to suck, to be the most horrible movie I've ever seen, for Lucas and Spielberg to shit all over the fans of the original trilogy, to be as bad as the Star Wars prequels.. thankfully, I was wrong.While not the strongest in the series, and not the weakest (looking at you Temple of Doom) KotCS is great adventure movie that blows the crap outta the newest adventure series National Treasure.
Everyone has great chemistry with each other, seeing Karen Allen on the screen with Harrison is great, like the two were meant to be up there together. Shia is definitely a great addition though he gets the one scene in the whole movie that absolutely hurts it and removes you from the film.
The action scenes are well filmed, but lack the great serial feel of the original films. Even though you can't really tell it from the poster, KotCS is actually a Sci-fi film, weird eh? Knowing that the other films deal with the supernatural, it shouldn't be much of a stretch.
Alot of people have shit on the film, but I enjoyed it alot. Its not prefect by any means, but you can go, watch it, and completely enjoy yourself except for the one scene with Shia Lebeouf.
I give KotCS a solid 4/5 stars. I really look forward to the DVD release of this.
