The Incredible Hulk Review

I really don't know exactly what to say about Incredible Hulk. Everyone came in, did their job and made a good movie.

Ed Norton makes a great looking Bruce Banner, hopefully Marvel will lock him into a picture deal for the series, being able to show a massive wide-range of emotions that afflict Bruce at any given moment.

Liv Tyler is a write off though, she really adds nothing or takes away anything, just eye candy with nice pursed lips.

It was great to see Tim Roth in a summer blockbuster. He chewed and chewed and chewed, but was an absolute delight to watch.

Starting the movie off in Brazil was completely different, trust me it's an amazing sight to see as the camera pans, but holds true to The Incredible Hulk being a retcon of the first movie, while still moving everything forward. Using the opening credits to show the origin and briefly retelling it later was a tremendous idea, keep the film flowing smooth and allow fanboys to get right into it instead of being bored by the 30 minutes of origin.

The Hulk himself looked better then the one in Lee's Hulk, he was leaner and not as shiny. Definite improvement but like most movies using CGI characters interacting with live action, you sometimes get discrepancies in height size. Sometimes he was a foot taller then Liv, and others 3 feet taller. But that is to be expected.

The action scenes are tense.. especially the battle on the Campus, some shades of Planet Hulk in there and the end battle with Abomination was awesome. As CGI as it was, it was CGI'd over Norton and Roth actually duking it out on a stage as their respected characters.

In the end I had a blast with this movie. Marvel is 2 for 3 so far this year (let's see how Punisher: War Zone does this christmas). If you liked Iron Man, you'll definitely like this.

4/5 Stars!

Couldn't agree more, Scott-

I thought the flick was miles ahead of Lee's version. This was pure popcorn, a delight to watch the fight scenes, the CGI was terrific. Tim Roth is awesome; I defy anyone to find a performance by him that DOESN'T suck.

And Stark's line to Ross: "I'm putting a team together"...

I damn near had a nerd-gasm.
