It was the only playing, thankfully it was a good choice.
As much as I like Jack Black, sometimes he can get very overbearing (Tenacious D movie), but I think Dreamworks pulled on the reins a little and he wasn't that annoying at all.
First off, great casting. I didn't recognize any of the celebs at all, Jackie Chan does a voice which I didn't realize til the end credits. But everyone does a smash up job.
As lover of old school kung fu movies, Kung Fu Panda was awesome. The action was great and beautiful done. reminded me alot of Shaolin Soccer, or any Jackie Chan movie. It was tight, fast and very furious.
One thing to note, the actually story is quite dark and sinister. The villain Tai-Lung is just vicious, his escape from prison.. my god. Insane!
If you have any young-uns, they'll enjoy it. There were two kids when I saw it, and they were having a grand ole time.
Kung Fu Panda is solid 4/5 stars. Other then Wall-E, the best kids movie to come out this summer.
